​My name is Jasper Sean and I am a songwriter with 10 years of experience. I was invited by Trinity Community Arts in Bristol to become a member of the Bristol Music Organisational board, otherwise known as the ‘Making Tracks’ program. I am currently on a self-employed placement year, in the middle of an undergraduate psychology course with a passion to understand the intricacies, technicalities and psychological theory and connections between music and the psyche to improve wellbeing. 

 

I have dedicated this year to work on commissions for companies such as Oliver West’s Footnotes which focuses on providing help for children and adults with moderate to severe learning difficulties. I have a series of workshops planned for release in the following weeks online and preparation for a more in-depth voluntary workshop with your organisation should you agree to proceed.

 

I have spent my formative years studying overseas, returning to the UK four years ago to complete my A levels at St. Brendan’s Sixth Form College in Bristol. Whilst attending international school in Malaysia I was selected at 13 years old by the then current Poet Laureate, Richard Grant (also known by his stage name, Dreadlock Alien), to perform at the 2013 National Poetry Competition. In 2015, I was invited to attend workshops in songwriting at The London Songwriting Academy in Westfield, London and was later coached by the renowned guitarist Justin Sandercoe. Through Trinity I have participated in workshops and lectures by IDLE’s bassist Dev and James Scarlet, co-founder of the music festival 2000 Trees.
