The Killers, Glastonbury 2019 Review

The performance that I will be discussing in this section will include the Killers at Glastonbury in 2019.

I have known this band for quite a while now (since 2015) and was initially attracted to it due to its unique approach and feel.

The band performed a number of songs from their ‘Hot Fuzz’ album, however, I will use Mr Brightside as an example.

The performance started with the band playing “Mr Brightside”, perhaps one of its most recognisable songs, in part due to its age, but also due to its iconic guitar lead in the introduction. The atmosphere created by this was further emphasized by the staging. For instance, the neon green and magenta lighting were synchronised with the song’s beat, whilst the fast-paced lasers added atmosphere.

The song itself is a classic as far as The Killers go.

Looking at the performance again, the recording seemed to be of good quality, which is not surprising seeing as it was from BBC.
